Grandmaster Mountain Kim, the President and founder of Mountain Kim Martial Arts, was the first person to start a Tae Kwon Do school in the metropolitan area. Today, with over 20 locations and 38 years of experience in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, his dojangs feature world federation style Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Haidong Gumdo (sword), Kickboxing, and Hapkido. A former Taekwondo and Judo Team Leader and graduate of Hanyang University, Korea, with BA in Physical Education, Grandmaster Mountain Kim, has many accomplishments including: 8th Degree Taekwondo; Chun Buk korea State Champion Taekwondo 1964 and 1965; Korean National Champion Taekwondo 1968 (twice) and 1969; World Medalist Jud; 8th Degree Judo; Master Hapkido; President Haidong Gumdo Association Delaware, Maryland and Virginia Region; and Vice President Virginia State Taekwondo Union.
